We
ladies have all been in situations where our mascaras just don’t come on as
thick as they used to like when we first got them. And when it comes to
getting rid of them, oh it’s always difficult to say goodbye to a very good
brand of makeup product when they are finished. Could be because they were
just too good a wand or the mascara just came on good on your eyelashes when
applied, they last longer and of cause are waterproof. Still, you have to always
throw them out but most times there could be hope for that special mascara in
your life. I have been using a method for a very long time now and it works so
good for me, I don’t have to worry about when they are drying off. And I am not
so
sure if it’s a method well known by most women so I decided to share. To be
sincere, I no longer remember where or who I learned this method from because
this is something I learned about ten years ago also (i guess somewhere on the
web). All I remember was me telling my mom (yep I had no makeup kit then, never
really used makeup other than face powder and little eye shadows l😄l ) about this
method and me actually experimenting with one of her old leftovers lol😄.
Anyway, it worked and from then on I was always using this method for her
mascaras when they were almost dried.
So, at what point does these method work
you may ask?
This works when the mascara is not
completely and totally dried up. Of cause, do not expect this method to work when it’s
at this stage unless you are just blessed with a very good brand. So now what
you need and the method.
You
will need just four things;
- A stove or boiling ring(whatever you fancy, really as long as it gets the water hot enough)
- A bowl or cup
- A glass of water
- A pot or kettle ( to boil the water )
Method:
- Pour the glass of water into a pot or kettle and just let it boil to medium heat on the stove (if the water is too hot please let it cool down a bit) the water needs to be at medium heat temperature you do not want the mascara swelling.
- Pour the warm water into the bowl, now place your mascara into the bowl of hot water. ( the mascara should be tightly closed).
Please note that if this method does not work either the mascara is already dried up or your water was not hot enough.
Before giving up, you could try the method again this time may be let the water
be a bit hotter than the first. If not just kiss your mascara goodbye and get
a new one.
warning:
please do not try these if you are not old enough to go near a stove, get
someone older to do these for you.
